A little sparkle for something that truly matters

Some things are simply worth supporting. Pink Tribute is one of them.

This year, I have donated a pair of my Galaxy earrings in 18-karat white gold with brilliant-cut diamonds to Pink Tribute’s fundraising event, where they will be among the prizes helping to raise money for breast cancer-related causes in Denmark.

My connection to this cause is, of course, very personal.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010. Sixteen years have passed, and life has thankfully moved a very long way forward since then. But anyone who has received a diagnosis like that will probably understand this: you never completely forget the day you were told. I can still remember it with extraordinary clarity.

For several years I was deeply involved in the non-profit organisation A Race Against Breast Cancer, where I also served as chairman. Through that work I came to know Pink Tribute and the people behind it. When my own involvement with A Race Against Breast Cancer ended, Pink Tribute was one of the organisations I particularly wanted to continue supporting.

And I have done so on several occasions by donating JOSINA jewellery to their fundraising events.

Pink Tribute was founded in Denmark in 2003 and raises funds for breast cancer research, treatment and support. Their funding reaches both research projects and initiatives that make a very tangible difference to women living with breast cancer. They also have the Pink Tribute Fund, which provides support to women in Denmark living with incurable breast cancer. Pink Tribute

That combination is important to me. Research matters enormously, but so does helping the actual woman who is standing right in the middle of it all.

This time, Galaxy gets to do its tiny bit.

The earrings are handmade in 18-karat gold and set with 0.18 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds. For the Pink Tribute fundraiser, I have donated the white-gold version. JOSINA

Tonight Søren and I will be attending the fundraising dinner at the Thai Embassy, where the earrings can be won alongside donations from a number of other brands.

Jewellery cannot cure breast cancer. Obviously. But a pair of diamond earrings can help raise money for people who are working towards better research, treatment and support.

And that seems like a rather good use of a little sparkle. 💎🩷
