Kite
I’ve never really understood why growing up should mean giving up play.
Kite takes me straight back to childhood afternoons in Dyrehaven, running across the open fields with a kite behind me, waiting for the wind to catch it. And then that wonderful moment when it finally did: up it went, twisting, turning and dancing in the air.
That sense of movement became just as important to the jewellery as the kite itself. I’ve always loved jewellery that doesn’t simply sit still, but moves with you, changes as you move and catches the light from unexpected angles. So I turned my childhood kite into 18-karat gold and gave its tail diamonds on both sides, allowing it to sparkle whichever way it turns.
A little childhood. A little play. A lot of movement.
Who said we had to grow up?
