Products & Care
Our Jewelry is produced by the finest local craftsmen in Valenza, a small town located in the Piedmont region of Italy, known for its long-standing tradition of jewelry craftsmanship. This town has been the center of Italian goldsmithing since the Middle Ages, and it is renowned worldwide for its expert. Valenza's jewelry-making tradition dates back to the 15th century, when goldsmiths began to create precious objects for the wealthy and noble families of Italy.
Over the years, the artisans of Valenza developed their skills and techniques, passing their knowledge down from generation to generation, and becoming the masters of the art of jewelry-making.
The jewelry made in Valenza is known for its exceptional quality, and attention to detail. From the traditional goldsmithing techniques to the use of cutting-edge technology, the artisans of Valenza are constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible in jewelry-making.
So this i why Valenza’s goldsmiths is the perfect match for producing JOSINA's jewelry.
Choosing only 18 carat gold for your jewelry ensures the highest quality and longevity. With a purity of 75%, it's less likely to tarnish or cause skin irritation compared to lower carats.
While 18 carat gold is a durable and long-lasting material, it can still wear out over time, especially if it is exposed to daily wear and tear. Gold is a relatively soft metal. That is why it is important to have chains in necklaces and bracelets checked to possibly reinforce them, especially if it is a piece of jewelry that you use everyday. I would recommend once a year for a check-up with a jeweller.
To care for your 18 carat gold jewelry with diamonds, avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Clean it gently with a soft cloth and warm water, and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Be careful not to scratch the diamonds, and have it inspected and cleaned by a professional jeweler at least once a year. Don't mind the scratches in the gold, that will occur over years, they will be a part of the jewelry's history. Oxidized pieces on the jewelry will fade (over time) with every day or very frequent wear. With proper care, your 18 carat gold jewelry with diamonds can stay sparkling and beautiful for a lifetime. Use your jewelry for everyday use.
There are several ways to determine your ring size:
- Measure your finger: Use a tape measure or a piece of string to measure the circumference of your finger where you want to wear the ring. Then, compare the measurement to a ring size chart to determine your size.
- Use a ring sizer: You can purchase a ring sizer tool online or at a jewelry store to measure your finger. Simply slide the tool onto your finger and adjust until it feels comfortable.
- Use a ring you already own: If you have a ring that fits your finger well, you can use it to determine your size. Measure the inside diameter of the ring, and compare it to a ring size chart to determine your size.
- Get measured by a jeweler in your town
- Or pay a visit at JOSINA in Copenhagen.

Taking care of a woven leather bracelet is important to keep it looking its best and to extend its lifespan. Here are some tips on how to take care of a woven leather bracelet:
- Keep it dry: Leather can be damaged by water, so it's important to keep your woven leather bracelet dry. Avoid wearing it while swimming, showering, or doing any other water-related activities.
- Store it properly: When you're not wearing your woven leather bracelet, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This will help prevent the leather from cracking or fading.
- Clean it gently: If your bracelet gets dirty, use a soft, damp cloth to gently clean it. Don't use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the leather.
- Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures: Leather can be damaged by extreme heat or cold, so avoid exposing your woven leather bracelet to these conditions.
- Avoid pulling or twisting: Leather can be stretched or distorted if pulled or twisted, so avoid putting any unnecessary strain on your bracelet.
By following these simple tips, you can help keep your woven leather bracelet looking its best for years to come.
Taking well care of your pearls will give them an eternal shine. Your pearls are born from and consist of organic, living material. Any acid is therefore harmful to the surface whereby the pearl may lose its lustre and turn dull. Please avoid direct contact with Perfume, cosmetics, hair spray, cleaning products. Take them off when you shower or go swimming, especially in chlorinated waters. Wear your pearls often. Pearls benefit from the moisture from the body, so wear them often to keep them looking their best.
Yes, an emerald can break, as it is a relatively soft gemstone with a hardness of 7.5-8 on the Mohs scale. Emeralds are also often filled with natural inclusions, which can make the stone more fragile and sensitive to impacts or blows.
Therefore, it is important to handle emeralds carefully and avoid subjecting them to rough treatment or exposing them to heat or chemicals. If the emerald has scratches or chips, it can also be more susceptible to breaking.
Overall, emeralds are still relatively durable and can last for many years if handled with care and stored in a secure manner. However, it is always a good idea to take extra precautions when wearing jewelry with emeralds and avoid exposing them to risks that can cause them to break.
Quality
To know if your gold is 18 carat, you can see the stamp "750", placed on the backside of your jewelry, which indicates that the gold is 75% pure.
All jewelry with a stone on 1 carat +, we provide with certificate of the diamond's characteristics, also known as the "4 Cs": Carat weight, Color, Clarity, and Cut. The certificate also includes additional information about the diamond's polish, symmetry, fluorescence, and measurements.
By having a GIA diamond certificate, you have a verified and trustworthy documentation of a diamond's characteristics, which can be used for insurance purposes, resale value, and as proof of the diamond's quality. It can also help you make an informed decision when purchasing a diamond, as you can compare the characteristics and value of different diamonds based on the information provided in the certificate.
Furthermore, we have a professional Certified diamond and pearl grader, HRD. Who checks our jewelry continuously. Read the article here:
